Our debut album will include two of our commissioned projects, both of which have become staples of our repertoire.  These works are Rex Isenberg’s Das Stunden-Buch and Giovanni Piacentini’s Preludio de un Diamante.  We are also including our original arrangement of an aria by Daniel Catán and Schubert’s “Shepherd on the Rock”.  Each work has become dear to us as musicians, and we think you will love them too!

By supporting this campaign, you will help launch us into the next part of our career!  This album is our first permanent, artistic statement.  It’s a crucial step, and we want you to be a part of it!

ALBUM REPERTOIRE

Rex Isenberg - Das Stunden-Buch (2013)
Giovanni Piacentini - Preludio de un Diamante (2014)
Daniel Catán - Escúchame, from Florencia en el Amazonas (1996, arr. 2014)*
Franz Schubert - Der Hirt auf dem Felsen, D. 965 (Shepherd on the Rock)

A key part of this album is combining the most famous work for our instrumentation - Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock - with brand-new pieces.  In essence, we are using our commissioned and arranged projects to help give us fresh insight into the Schubert - an oft-performed and recorded work from the early Romantic era, and vice versa - using the history of the instrumentation to inform the present.  Not only will this be a definitive recording for us artistically as an ensemble, this will also be the first and definitive recording of the Isenberg, Piacentini, and Catán arrangement.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP

If you’re not able to help us by making a donation, we still love you!  Help us by sharing this campaign on your facebook or twitter, or by sending it through email to your contacts.  A personalized note is always a good idea, and we can help you if you’re looking for ways to get people excited about this project who may not know us.

And of course, come to our shows!  We want to see you and get to know you!  Say hi to us after a performance.  Or mention our music to your friends.  These seem like small things, but the impact is bigger than we know sometimes.

And lastly, get in touch with us.  Let us know how we’re doing.  If we’re sending too many reminders, or not enough.  Or if you just want to say hello.  We’re so thankful for you!!  And we can’t do this without you!

THANK YOU!!
